Senator Rand Paul Ends Filibuster in Defense of Freedom

Rand_Paul_filibusterIn an historic event that echoes the passion of our U.S. Founding Fathers, Senator Rand Paul ended a 13-hour filibuster on the U.S. Senate floor—joined by other senators on both sides of the aisle—to block election of John O. Brennan until clarity about the U.S. policy on drone use was clarified by Brennan or the White House Administration.  Brennan and White House administration have not denied being open to the use of drones in targeted attacks on U.S. citizens, on U.S. soil.   “I will speak until I can no longer speak,” Senator Paul began the filibuster, continuing: “I will speak as long as it takes, until the alarm is sounded from coast to coast that our Constitution is important, that your rights to trial by jury are precious, that no American should be killed by a drone on American soil… Read more>>
